Science Fact or Fiction - Charmain Ingleton

The question, “Is Earth re-structuring? ” With many countries experiencing earthquakes, could it be just a matter of time before one of the seven major tectonic plates causes a massive earthquake. As just like 300 million years ago when Pangaea was a super-continent, it began to break apart to the world we know today. But if this was to happen, which countries are at risk of being split into new continents? It’s quite scary to think about such things but if we know in advance, a plan of action could be put in place to move people to safer regions or countries. One thing I can suggest is that all households put together a survival kit that can be used in a quick escape, or in an evacuation. You may never need it but at least you’re prepared for the worst, if you know what I mean! In my opinion, our planet Earth is evolving. We may not all notice the signs but our planet’s surface is changing, to what, is only a matter of time! But ...

The question is, “Do extraterrestrials exist?” With so many UFO sightings reported and documented by the general public and professional personal all over the world, common sense should tell us that aliens or extraterrestrials exist, for are they not the ones flying these spacecrafts? So, why are these reported sightings being dismissed or explained as anything other than alien related, for example a weather balloon etc. So, are we being protected from the truth? Or is there something more sinister that’s linked to these sightings. Now I’ve always believed in that saying, “If you think you saw it, you did.” But do I really want to know the truth for once pandoras box is opened life will surely no longer be the same. The question, "Is fracking destroying our planet?" I believe fracking is destroying our planet and the environment. With hydraulic fracturing appearing to be a saviour to those that provide us with gas and fuel are they drilling for the right reasons? With some governments giving authority for fracking to be done could they have already sealed our fate? As gallons of water, sand and chemicals are injected under massive pressure into the ground, surely this is a disaster just waiting to happen? With on-land drilling isn’t it possible that this could cause the earth to crack and possibly lead to earthquakes or even sinkholes? Shouldn’t we be taking more notice of the warnings that our planet gives to us, like in the forms that I’ve already mentioned above? If not, what will happen to us when the surface of our planet begins caving in like one gigantic sinkhole? With environmental pollution, and the lack of fresh drinking all I can see on the hor...

The question is, “Did we kill the dinosaurs?” We’ve all seen pictures, or watched documentaries relating to the subject of dinosaurs and bones; we’ve also been told that these were wiped out by a meteorite. But I have a theory. Is it possible that we were riding on the meteorite in the form of an organism that actually wiped them out? It could explain how we as a different species got on the planet in the first place, but it’s only a theory. But if I’m right, isn’t it possible that all the insects, birds and other wildlife came to this planet in the same way, and that’s the reason why there are so many different species on Earth, with more being discovered each year?
