How Is Hydraulic Fracturing GREEN ENERGY?
Hydraulic Fracturing commonly known as ‘Fracking,’ in my opinion is far
from being ‘GREEN ENERGY.’
For with Hydraulic Fracturing, tons of water, sand and chemicals are
forced underground at high pressure. This pressure forces cracks in
the rock to allow natural gas to be released. Sounds good so far, doesn’t it?
However, although that sounds simple, if cracks appear in the well shaft, leakage of chemicals will go into the ground water supply. If this contamination happens and its ingested, it can cause sensory, respiratory or neurological damage.
Also, chemicals evaporate into the air per extraction, this contributes to the air pollution and endangers those living within the vicinity. Well that’s the clean air policy out of the window!
You cannot sugar coat ‘Fracking,’ it’s the worse type of drilling that not only endangers health but it’s also bad for the environment especially as the waste is not biodegradable and is difficult to get rid of. It also creates water shortages by using water from natural streams and rivers, drying them up. Remember we’re short of fresh water and need water to survive, not gas!
The sci-fi book, “The Walkways Awakening,” tells a similar story about a
fracking incident in the UK where it causes a global disaster causing vein like
cracks to appear beneath the surface of our planet. This causes earthquakes and
opens up huge sinkholes and creates an anomaly within the Hadron Collider that
causes an even bigger problem. So, is my written word to become reality?
As although it’s a science fiction story that contains factual elements,
it has a frightening ending of which none of us could endure if we were to
survive!
In my opinion fracking is the opposite to a cleaner environment, but hey I’m no expert.
