Is Déjà Vu A Replay Of A Previous Life?

The question, “Is Déjà Vu a replay of a previous life?”

The term déjà vu is French. It means, “Already seen.”

It’s the name, given to a sense or feeling of being somewhere before; a knowing or familiarity of a place, or something…

I’ve experienced it personally. The effect was unexpected!

When I was a teenager, I was in a clothes shop looking at some belts that were high-up on a fixed-rail, between some trousers and skirts.

Then suddenly as I reached up to take one, everything froze. Within seconds, as my feet and body remained rooted to the floor, I felt half the store move quickly behind me before returning back into place.

It felt strange. I must admit I was a little scared as I didn’t know what was happening, then I had this overwhelming feeling that this had happened before. It’s then, the words déjà vu popped into my mind.

What was even weirder, was that customers in the shop at the time were oblivious to what had just happened. I didn’t buy the belt in the end. I just left the shop…

I still get déjà vu.

In some cases, I remember doing the exact same thing over and over again. I usually remember just after the action’s been performed, as something instigates the memory of having done it previously - It could be a word said or action done that reminds me or makes me realise that I’d done it before.

So, why am I repeating things that I’ve done before?

Am I re-enacting a previous life?

Or am I re-enacting this life?

With so many choices and variables, I could’ve come back infinite times…

But hey, I’m no psychologist.

So, is Déjà Vu a replay of a previous life?

What do you think?
